Description

North Llanrwst Station is a 19th-century main building constructed of dark random rubble with slate roofs and five prominent stone chimney groups. It features bathstone dressings, quoins, a plinth, stone cornice, and gutters. The elevation facing the railway line includes a projecting gabled bay on the left, topped with a stone finial and coping, and a gable decorated with a deeply cut floral design. On the ground floor, there is a window with three round-headed lights, where the mullions are treated as pilasters, and the outer lights have decorated keystones. The central light features a Gothic-arched tympanum with floral relief. To the right, there is a smaller projecting gable with a stone finial and a roundel adorned with a deeply cut wreath. The ground floor canopy is largely boxed in with rendered masonry but remains open to the right, covered by modern corrugated roofing, supported by chamfered wooden posts and bracing. One and a half bays of the canopy are open, featuring two square-headed windows and a segmental-headed door beneath.

The south elevation has a tall shouldered chimney and a single rectangular window to the right. The entrance elevation includes a projecting gabled bay to the right with a stone finial, a window with three round-headed lights, and a decorative keystone above the central light, with aprons below. The main block has a segmental door with a pair of square-headed windows to the right, while to the left are three square-headed windows and a smaller square-headed window. A lower single-storey block to the left features a square-headed door and a square-headed window to the right, along with two square-headed windows on the north elevation.
