Coed Cae-du Farmhouse

Coed Cae-du Farmhouse is a two-storey farmhouse with a single-storey wing at the rear and a single-pitched roof addition on the left (east) gable. It is constructed from local mortared stone, with part of the east gable rendered, and features large stones as quoins and lintels. Both the house and the rear wing have slate roofs, with gable stacks that include dripstones and capping. The external stack on the left (east) gable of the house is broad and shouldered, and rendered. The roof of the single-pitched addition at the east end is made of profiled material.

The principal elevation faces north-northwest and consists of a three-window range, with the doorway offset to the right (west). The doorway is wide and has an arched head made of narrow radiating stones. The windows are timber casements, although the first-floor windows are modern. The single-pitched roof addition, likely used as a cowhouse, has its doorway offset to the left and features a pitching hole or loft opening to the right.

The interior of the house was not accessible for viewing, but earlier descriptions note that it includes a screen passage with plank and muntin partitioning, and the openings to the rooms on either side have wood round-headed doorways. The staircase is not original, and some moulded ceiling beams are exposed.
