Description

The White Lion Inn is a two-storey public house dating to the 18th century. It is constructed of roughly dressed local stone, notable for extremely long stones forming a continuous lintel course across the ground floor openings. The roof is slate, with projecting eaves and rectangular chimney stacks featuring dripstones and capping. There are gable stacks at each end and a single ridge stack set to the right (south) side. The main front of the building faces west toward the street, with the main entrance offset to the left (north) side, sheltered by a small overlight. Four-pane horned sash windows flank the entrance. A separate delivery door is located at the right (south) end of the building, and three further sash windows are regularly spaced on the first floor.
