Description
Hayban and cowhouse at Berth-ddu are two parallel buildings built into a slope, allowing gable pitching doors to be accessed from the higher ground level. They are connected by a high wall at the lower end. The cowhouse, located to the south, is constructed from rough rubble boulders and has a slate close-eaved roof. It features a pitching door in the upper gable, while the main doorway in the lower gable is presumed but not visible. The adjacent haybarn to the north is also built from boulders, but shows more distinct coursing. It has orthostatic stone slab pillars on the open sides and a close-eaved slate roof, with a pitching door in the upper gable end.
