Description
1 and 2 Pen-trwyn-garnedd are a pair of two-storey cottages built in the late 19th century, designed in a gothic style. They are constructed from roughly coursed rubble masonry, featuring large stones as lintels. The cottages have a slate roof with overhanging eaves and verges, and a central grouped stack made up of four square piers. The doors are boarded, and the windows are slightly recessed top-hung timber casements with eight panes; all openings have shaped labels.
The left end of the range has a slightly advanced gable bay on the right, which includes single windows on both the ground and first floors. The doorway is located just to the left of this advanced bay, and there is a single window on both the ground and first floors in the far left gable. The interior was not inspected during the survey conducted in July 2003.
