Description
East View Post Office is a pair of cottages built around 1880. They are constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings and feature a Welsh slate roof. The cottages are single-storey with an attic. The openings have ashlar surrounds with shouldered lintels and include mullion windows with cast-iron frames.
The façade features a two-light window, a two-storey gabled porch with a board door and a single-light window above, as well as single-light windows in the left and right returns. There is also a three-light window and a projecting gabled bay with a three-light window and a two-light window above, along with a two-light window in the right return. A single-light window is located in the lower wing to the right.
The cottages have shaped kneelers and ashlar copings on all gables, as well as ashlar corniced stacks at the left end and in the center between the two cottages. There is a gable entry in the right return.
