Description

The agricultural range at Ty'n-y-wern is a long farm building constructed from rough boulders and topped with a slate roof, which has been partially renewed with corrugated sheeting. The building is mostly single storey, but features a loft above the cow-house or stable area. The front of the barn is obscured by a lean-to brick addition, possibly added later for dairy use, but it still has a near-central doorway facing the lane. The cow-house or stable section includes a pitching door in the gable end, supported by a rough timber lintel, and three doorways of varying heights on the side facing the yard.
