Description
The Pigsty and Brewhouse range at Gwern Einion is a lofted brewhouse flanked by gabled pigsty units, with a lean-to addition on the left side of the front gable of the brewhouse and a modern lean-to at the northwest corner made of profiled metal. The structure is built from roughly coursed rubble masonry, featuring large stones used as quoins and lintels. The roofs are covered with small slates arranged in diminishing courses, with tiled ridges; the brewhouse has a prominent stone stack with capping at the rear gable on the east side. Access to the brewhouse is through a single doorway with a large stone lintel located to the right of the front gable, while a small window is positioned to the left above a later lean-to addition. The flanking pigsty ranges also have rubble walls. The interior could not be inspected during the survey.
