Description

The Pigsty and Brewhouse at Drws yr Ymlid Farm is a 19th-century farm building constructed from local materials. The pigsty is located to the left (northeast) and is a low rectangular structure built end on to the slope. It features roughly coursed rubble walls and previously had a local slate roof, which has since collapsed since the last listing description in 1993. There is a small entrance at the downhill end from the yard and a small window set in the apex of the northwest gable.

The brewhouse is positioned across the slope and is also built from roughly coursed local rubble masonry. Its roof is covered with small slates arranged in diminishing courses, featuring rough stone copings on the left gable and a rectangular gable stack on the right, complete with drip stones and capping. There is a split, boarded door on the left with massive stone jambs and a four-pane window to the right. Between the pigsty and the brewhouse is a square yard enclosed by an iron gate, with a rubble wall at the front and a screen wall at the rear that connects to the back walls of both buildings.

Inside the brewhouse, there is a fireplace with a stone lintel along the southwest gable wall and a brick oven located in the southwest corner.
