Description

The Field Barn south of Cae Du is a small rectangular structure built into the slope with its gable end facing downhill. It is constructed from local rubble and features rubble gable parapets and an old slate roof. The entrance is located on the southwest gable and consists of a recessed boarded door, with a rectangular ventilator positioned at the gable apex. There is a loft door on the rear gable, which has an inserted six-pane window and boarding to the right. The northeast side of the barn includes a continuous outshut made of rubble walls topped with a corrugated iron roof, featuring plain openings. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
