Description
The stable block at Cwm Fynhadog-Isaf is a small square structure built of rubble on part boulder foundations, topped with a slate roof that has a tiled ridge. The entrance is located on the northeast side, which faces the farm, and features a timber lintel. On the southeast gable end, there is an upper boarded loading bay with a pegged timber frame, and the lintel is inscribed with the date 1721. Access to this loading bay is provided by an external rubble-stepped entrance.
Inside, the stable consists of two bays with a slate-flagged floor. There is an oak newel post at the center, which serves as a stall division and has a geometric head. A corrugated iron partition separates the stalls, and there is a wall niche in the right stall. Above, there is a hay-loft and a roof supported by a two-bay collar truss.
