Description
Cwm Fynhadog-Isaf is a one-and-a-half storey farmhouse built of rubble, featuring a slate roof and a projecting end chimney on the right. The chimney has a squat stack with weathercoursing and plain capping, which has been later heightened. The entrance is located to the left of the main section and has a Victorian part-glazed door. To the right, there is a modern window that does not match the original style, set in a widened opening. The upper floor has gabled half-dormers with Victorian four-pane sash windows and projecting slate cills.
Adjacent to the main block and slightly lower to the left is a later 19th-century extension, which includes a modern part-glazed door and a plain-glazed window to the right, along with two similar dormers on the upper floor. The rear of the house features modern windows, including a dormer window similar to those on the front.
To the left of the main house, there is a single-storey byre addition, constructed in the same style as the farmhouse. It has a wide stable entrance on the right.
Inside, the right ground-floor room, which was formerly a hall, has stopped-chamfered beams and joists in the ceiling. There is a large flat bressummer over a wide fireplace, which has a carved supporting strut on the left bearing the initials R O and the date 1723. This modification is contemporary with an inserted lateral ceiling beam that is also chamfered and appears to be re-used.
