Description

This is a cast iron milepost from the second half of the 19th century, featuring a triangular profile. The southeast face displays raised lettering indicating a distance of 5 miles to Blaenau Ffestiniog, while the northwest face shows a distance of 15 miles to Bala. There are no visible foundry marks on the milepost. It is listed for its historical significance as a surviving example of a 19th-century milepost located prominently by the roadside.
