Description
The barn and cowshed at Bodloesygad is a single-storey structure built from rubble, topped with a slate roof. Rubble is piled up at the angle where the barn meets the house. The front features a broad boarded door in the center, with a narrower door to the right side next to a small window. A similar arrangement is found at the rear of the building. There is also a small plain window on the right gable end. To the left, there is a lower extension that is partly constructed from breeze blocks.
Inside, the barn has a four-bay layout. To the left, there is an open cruck truss with angular knees and blocking pieces on the blades, leading to a lapped apex. The central cruck truss is closed and features a modern boarded partition that divides the former barn from the cowhouse. This truss includes a tiebeam and a small collar. The cowhouse section has a 19th-century A-frame truss with overlapping round purlins and a metal-pegged collar.
