Description
This is a small vernacular farmhouse, likely dating from the late 17th century, which was raised and extended in the early 19th century and around 1900. The exterior features a rendered facade with rubble construction on a boulder plinth and a slate roof. The main block, located to the left, has a central entrance with flanking bays, the right bay being slightly advanced. The ground floor has plain sash windows, while the upper floor features smaller sashes; the lower triple-paned sections are early 19th century, and the plain upper sections are later replacements. To the right, there is a recessed full-height service extension from the early 19th century with a plain entrance. A lean-to addition from around 1900 is located to the left, which has a recessed entrance and a modern window beyond, with boarded doors throughout. The primary block has squat brick end chimneys, and the rear of the building is unrendered.
The interior was not accessible during the survey in June 1995.
Adjacent to the right are two early 20th-century corrugated iron agricultural buildings, which are set into the slope of the hill at the rear and side. This farmhouse retains much character and is prominently situated along the roadside.
