Description

This is a cast iron milepost from the second half of the 19th century, featuring a triangular profile. The west face displays raised lettering indicating the distance to Blaenau Ffestiniog, which is 6 miles away, while the east face shows that Bala is 14 miles away. There are no visible foundry marks. The milepost is listed for its historic interest as a surviving example from the 19th century, located prominently by the roadside.
