Description
Riverside is a single-storey cottage built with rubble masonry and widely slobbered mortar. It features a moderately pitched slate roof that is hipped to the right and gabled to the left, complete with bargeboards and a finial. A Velux skylight is present, along with a stone stack and slate water tabling.
The front of the cottage has two 12-pane horned sash windows that are stepped down with the slope of the roof, each with stone lintels. The doorway is located at the extreme left, with the upper panels replaced in glass and a slate sill beneath it.
On the left end elevation, the structure drops vertically down to the River Arran. There are two 12-pane horned sash windows on the ground floor and a similar loft window at the apex of the gable, both also featuring stone lintels.
