Description
Capel Elim is a single-storey vernacular cottage constructed of rubble masonry on boulder foundations. It features a roof made of old small slates, which are grouted, along with a tiled ridge and copings, and rendered gable stacks, one of which is a dummy stack on the right side. The entrance is located in the northeast wall, with two windows and a doorway between them, all openings offset towards the left (southeast) end. The windows are slightly recessed 4-pane sashes positioned under the eaves, and there are two similarly styled windows on the rear (southwest) wall.
Inside, the cottage has a boarded partition, which is a later addition, to the right of the door, leading to two doorways that access a pantry and a bedroom. To the left of the entrance is a living room that features a boarded wainscot.
