Description
Glyn Cottage is a two-storey estate cottage built in a T-shaped plan, featuring a single-storey addition in the southeast angle and a single-storey L-shaped wing at the southeast gable. The cottage is constructed from mortared rubble masonry with large stones used as lintels. It has a slate roof with advanced eaves and verges, and large, shouldered, rectangular stacks that are rendered.
The main entrance is located in the northwest angle, consisting of a boarded door beneath a shallow overlight. The windows in the main part of the house are slightly recessed, small-paned leaded casements with slate sills; there are two windows in the northeast wall and single windows in each of the other walls. The single-storey range features a doorway offset to the right (northwest) of the northeast wall and a single lattice-paned window to the left. A similar window is found in the northwest wall, overlooking a brick-floored yard and facing the single-storey addition in the southeast angle, while other windows are timber casements.
The interior was not inspected at the time of the survey.
