Description
The Estate Yard Range at Glyn Cywarch consists of estate service and farm buildings. The southern range is a long, single-storey structure aligned east-west, which may have originally included a brew-house and domestic quarters or a mess room for estate workers; it now serves as the estate office. This range is constructed from roughly coursed mortared masonry made of large stones and features a slate roof with small roof-lights. It has rubble stacks with drip-stones and capping. The doors are boarded, and the windows are small-paned timber casements.
To the east of this range, the walls are timber boarded, with boarded doors and open-fronted bays at the northeast angle, supported by a single stone pier. The northeast range includes the saw mill and is built of mortared rubble masonry with a slate roof. The saw mill is situated in a building that is set at right angles to the end of the return block of the southern range and features a wide boarded doorway that is offset to the left of the west gable. The adjoining blocks in this range have openings in the north and east-facing elevations, and the north gable has a shallow stack at the apex.
