Description
Derlwyn is a two-storey cottage that was originally built as a pair. It features a linear range of mortared rubble masonry with long stones serving as lintels. The cottage has a vernacular character that contrasts with the estate style used in other buildings in the village. The roof is made of slate and has stone gable stacks with dripstones and capping.
The cottage has a long five-window façade with the doorway offset to the left (east). There is a former doorway in the second opening from the right end, which is now partially blocked and has a window in the upper part. The doorway contains a simple boarded door, while the windows are timber casements with two lights. The first-floor windows are positioned above alternate ground-floor openings and are set under the eaves.
The interior was not inspected during the survey conducted in June and July 2003.
