Description
Bryn y Ddwyryd is a small, Gothic style cottage orné, built in the 19th century. It is a single storey structure with an attic and features a single window range, with the door located to the right (east) and the openings offset to the right. The building is constructed of coursed rubble masonry and has a slate roof with overhanging eaves and verges. There is a rectangular stone stack with dripstones and capping on the left (west) gable.
The principal elevation showcases a pointed arched window with glazing bars, set into a gabled half dormer that extends above the eaves. The ground floor openings have similar arched heads, but these are blocked. The door is boarded, and the window consists of a casement with two 4-pane lights. Additionally, there is a small 2-pane light for the attic at the left (south) end of the east gable.
The interior was not inspected during the survey conducted in June and July 2003.
