Description

1 Fron Fair Terrace is a late 19th-century cottage, part of a terrace of five two-storey dwellings built in a simplified gothic style typical of the estate. The cottages are constructed of roughly coursed rubble masonry, with large stones used as quoins and lintels. They have slate roofs with projecting eaves and verges, and gabled half-dormers along the main southwest-facing elevation. The ridge is defined by rectangular stone stacks with capping.

Located at the northwestern end of the terrace, number 1 is a two-window range. The doorway is offset to the right of the frontage. To the left is a ground-floor and a first-floor two-light timber casement window. A first-floor window is located within a half-dormer. Above the doorway is a small, shallow two-pane window set under the eaves. The interior of the cottage was not inspected during a survey in July 2003.
