Description

This is a single-arched road bridge located across the gorge of the Afon Cleifion. It features a single ring of 60 cm radial voussoirs made from local stone rubble, which have irregular backs and spring from the native rock that forms the riverbed. The bridge has flush spandrels and currently lacks a parapet. The arch rises 6.35 meters above the water and approximately 2.5 meters above the springing line, spanning about 6.6 meters and measuring 2.95 meters in width. The top of the arch is now covered with grass. It is said to bear the inscription "JD" along with a date.
