Description
The former slate warehouse on Oakleys Wharf is a single-storey building constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof. The northeast side, which used to be open-fronted with full-height coursed stone piers, has been infilled across all ten bays. The first bay, now serving as a harbour-master's office, is narrower and features an inserted boarded door and a steel-framed window, with pebble-dash below the sill. The second bay has a similar window, while the third bay contains boarded double doors. Bays four to nine have boarded infill, with doors incorporated in bay six. The tenth bay is mostly glazed, with rubble stone below the sill and a boarded door to the right. To the right of this bay is a full-height joint that marks the original end of the building, to which an extension has been added, roofed under the same range and featuring double boarded doors in each of its two bays.
On the left gable end, facing the harbour, there is a former doorway that has been blocked, with a window inserted into it. To the left of this is an inserted boarded door. The rear of the building has a centrally located inserted boarded door. The building has not been inspected.
