Description
Greaves Wharf and Oakleys Wharf is a 180-meter long structure oriented northeast-southwest. It features battered walls made of large blocks of dressed stone arranged in regular courses. The wharf includes later additions such as steel ladders and iron mooring rings. Steel railings are set back from the edge of the wharf, except near the harbour-master's office, which marks the boundary between Greaves and Oakleys Wharves. At the southwest end, there is a return wall that faces a wide slipway known as 'The Beach,' which has a later stone parapet. The northeast end of the wharf meets Britannia Bridge.
