Description

Capel-y-graig Lodge is a single-storey building with an 'L'-shaped plan, constructed of rubble and topped with a slate roof. The gate piers are made of freestone. A notable feature of the lodge is the lean-to verandah on the south side, which wraps around the east corner in front of the main entrance, a design element typical of this building campaign, similar to Wern Gogas. The verandah is supported by columns made of turned limestone. The lodge has a boarded door and a canted bay window with transomed glazing on the eastern forward gable. On the south side, there are small pane sash windows, while the rear has modern windows. A central rendered chimney stack may have replaced an earlier one with octagonal shafts.

The gate piers are located immediately to the southeast of the lodge. They are square and tall, featuring a necking band and weathered copings.
