Description

The Tomb of Eben Fardd is a graveyard monument designed in a Gothic style. It features a square stone die that is elevated on two low steps, with chamfered edges. Each side of the die has gabled roofs adorned with fleur gables, and the lower terminals are intricately carved as balls of leaves. The die extends upward behind the gables into a four-sided pyramid, topped with a square terminal feature and offset capstones. On the north side, it is inscribed with "ER GOF AM EBENEZER THOMAS EBEN FARDD, Awst 1802 - Chwefror 17 1883," along with additional inscriptions, including a poem by Tom Bowen Jones from 1854 that has been highlighted in gold. A slate plaque has also been added to the east side.
