Description
The building is a stone structure with pebbledash and a slate roof, featuring gable stacks. It has two storeys and three window bays, with the Post Office and shop located in the two left bays on the ground floor. The shop front is symmetrically designed, featuring a central pair of flush bead-panelled doors with a narrow overlight, all set within a plain timber doorcase. On either side of the doors are 16-paned shop windows, framed by smaller timber pilasters that rise from a continuous sill and support a fascia and cornice. To the right, there is a boarded door leading to the dwelling, which has a paned overlight above it, along with a window. The first floor contains three small windows, all of which have replacement uPVC frames. At the back, there is a short wing that is angled with the road.
Internally, the shop remains open and unmodernised. The dwelling features a high boarded dado in the entrance lobby, which leads to a margin glazed inner door.
