Description

The former southwest wing of Bodfasarn is a building constructed of large rubble stone, separate from the main house it is attached to, and features an old small slate roof. It is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays. The building has a modern paned window and a boarded door that once served as a shopfront, with vertical boarding above. There is a small four-paned casement window on the ground floor, which has a cambered stone arch, and a deeply set small four-pane window directly beneath the eaves that provides light to the attic. External stone steps on the gable end lead up seven steps to an external porch, which has a projecting slab canopy. The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales (RCAHMW) notes that the building features a pegged collar beam truss.
