Description

The Telford Milestone, located south of Dolgoch, is a notable structure made from dressed Anglesey limestone. It features a shallow triangular head and raking chamfered sides. There is a cast iron inset plate with white lettering on a black background that reads: HOLY- / HEAD / 29 / BANGOR / 4 / C. CURIG / 10M – 3F.

The milestone is set in front of a rubble arch that is part of a boundary wall. This arch is an example of a "Telford Arch," which is believed to have been designed to enhance the visibility and significance of the milestone.
