Description
Nos 5 and 6 Tanysgafell in Llandygai are a symmetrical pair of single-storey cottages, each with two rooms. They are built from slate-hung rubblestone and feature a slate roof. Each cottage has a central entrance that leads to an open hip-roofed slate porch. Flanking the porches are small hip-roofed canted bays, which have slate cills supported by carved slate brackets and each contains a 4-paned window at the front. Both cottages have slate slab end chimneys and ridge stacks, all topped with stepped capping and slate-sheeted bases. At the rear, there is a continuous single-storey lean-to. The left cottage, No. 6, has been extended to the left and features a 20th-century stained French window in its front wall. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
