Description
The Eastern Slab Mill at Felin Fawr Slate Works is a Grade II* listed building with a long rectangular plan, oriented roughly north-south. It is constructed from snecked rubblestone, featuring hammer-dressed quoins and voussoirs. The gable-ended slate roof has slate coping and oversailing eaves.
On the eastern elevation, there are three original segmental-headed doorways that have been infilled later, along with an inserted full-height doorway to the left. A similar later opening is found on the west side, near the north gable end, which also has a slate-roofed full-width open lean-to supported by four cast-iron columns. The outline of a lower and narrower outbuilding can be seen at the south gable end. The eastern roof slope contains six large rooflights.
The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
