Description

5 Corbet Square is a three-storey, three-bay house dating from the 18th century. The exterior is of scribed roughcast, topped by a slate roof hidden behind a parapet with a decorative cornice. A roughcast chimney stack is located on the left-hand side. The windows and entrance are deliberately positioned asymmetrically to the right. The ground floor entrance is in the left-hand bay, featuring a moulded surround to a recessed panel door and overlight. To the left is a segmental-headed passage doorway with replacement doors. Windows are four-pane horned sash windows set within moulded architraves, with a horizontal sill band on the middle storey. A sign reading “bank” is positioned between the middle and upper storeys in raised lettering. The rear of the building has replacement windows. The property was not inspected internally.
