Description
Pencae is a cottage and byre dating from an unspecified period, constructed from whitewashed rubble stone and topped with a grouted slate roof. The building features coped gables and two stone stacks, with the smaller stack located at the left end and the larger one on the ridge, both equipped with dripstones.
The cottage, situated on the left, has a 6-pane sash window on each side of a ledged door, along with a loft window in the left end wall above a more recent 20th-century window. The windows and door are set beneath slab lintels. The byre has a single door with a slab lintel and a lean-to on the right end, which is also whitewashed and has a grouted slate half-hipped roof, along with a ledged door featuring a slab lintel.
At the rear of the house, there is a roofless outbuilding that has two doors on the west side.
