Description

Syntir is a cottage with an attached former byre, constructed from whitewashed rubble stone and featuring a grouted slate roof. The building has coped gables and a tall stone stack at the west end, which includes dripstones and a pyramidal cement cap. It is one storey and has a loft, with a double-fronted design that includes 4-pane horned sash windows on either side of the door on the south front, all set beneath slab lintels. The cottage is situated on a slope, and there is an earlier 20th-century sunroom added at the east end. A small original loft light is present in the gable end above. At the west end, the former byre has a slightly lower roof line and has been partly rebuilt in the 20th century, featuring one door to the right.
