Description
Bryn-ffoulk is a cottage that has been pebbledashed and features a slate close-eaved roof with two pebbledashed stacks, one larger stack at the south end and another on the ridge. The cottage is single storey with a loft and has a double front, showcasing two pairs of casement windows on either side of a ledged door. Above the right window, there is a pebbledashed eaves dormer with a 4-pane sash window. To the right, there is a continuous outbuilding or service range that includes a single window and a half-glazed 20th-century door. Outside steps at the north end lead to a loft door, while the house has a rear wall with a 4-pane sash window and a loft window at the south end.
The original ground plan of the main house part remains intact, consisting of a three-room layout. The main room is heated by a fireplace located in a substantial projecting chimney. Plank partitions separate a smaller front room, which is also heated but features a 20th-century fireplace, and a tiny rear room that likely served as a scullery or dairy. This rear room now acts as a passage to the kitchen, which was created in what was probably once a stable. The loft is full, with access via a steep modern staircase, although it is unclear whether it was originally designed as a full or half-loft.
