Description
Yr Hen Gapel is an outbuilding constructed of rubble stone, which is currently roofless and missing its northern end wall. The eastern front features a tall central door with steps leading inside, flanked by the remnants of what appear to be three upper windows at varying sill heights, although the lintels are no longer present. To the left, there is a long window with its sill positioned about two-thirds the height of the door. Above the door, there may have been a square window beneath the eaves, mostly gone but with splayed reveals that differ from the other openings. To the right, there is a window with its sill at the level of the door head. The southern gable wall reaches full height, while the rear wall is built against a bank and includes central and northern windows with slab lintels and small gables above them. The northern end may have been demolished for later use as a cart-shed.
