Description
Capel Nebo is a chapel built in a simple Gothic style. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a slate roof with coped gables. The gable front has two pointed outer doors, which are four-panel doors with Y-tracery in the overlights. There are two pointed long windows in the center, each with two-light Y-tracery made of timber and stone voussoirs. Above these, there is a large oval recessed plaque surrounded by stone voussoirs and a circular vent at the apex of the gable, which has a similar surround. The right side wall is rendered and includes one long window similar to the others, along with an attached Ty Capel. The left side has three similar windows, and a straight joint to the right of the middle window indicates that some of the earlier fabric was retained. The end wall also features two similar windows.
Inside, the chapel has plastered walls and no galleries. It contains raked pews, a plain five-sided pulpit, and a panelled great seat. There are two lobbies. The ceiling has a boarded outer band with six pierced vents located at the corners and centers of the long sides, and a central ornate plaster rose in the form of a sunflower.
