Description
The Bible Christian Chapel is a chapel dated 1878, featuring a rubble core that is rendered and whitewashed, with raised plaster alternating quoins. It has a gabled slate roof and is rectangular in plan, designed in the Gothic style. The exterior includes a single storey with two large two-light pointed arch windows that have wooden Y-tracery and circular top-lights. Between these windows is a porch with an ornamental fretwork bargeboard, a pointed-arch outer door opening, and a plank door with ornamental iron hinges. There is a further similar door opening to the extreme left, which has been altered with a later inserted plank door. Additionally, there is a small later lean-to with a corrugated iron roof on the extreme left. The forecourt features a whitewashed rubble wall with cement capping, a gateway with brick piers, and a railed iron gate. The rear elevation has two more pointed-arch windows. Inside, the chapel retains contemporary fittings, including pews and a dais.
