Description
Pen-yr-ogof is a cottage constructed from rubble stone, featuring exceptionally large boulders. It has a grouted slate roof and a square stone chimney stack on the left end, complete with dripstones and a pyramid cap. The stone gable is coped. This single-storey building includes a loft, but the front has been altered so that the door is now on the left instead of the center, with a large 6-pane sash window positioned in the center and to the right. The windows have slab lintels, and there is a small 9-pane tilting loft light in the right end wall.
Inside, a ladder stair leads to the full loft from just inside the entry. The ground floor consists of a single room, which features a large fireplace on the left with a stone slab lintel above it. There is one floor beam and joists present.
