Description
Blawdty is a farmhouse with an attached outbuilding range, constructed from rubble stone and topped with a grouted slate roof featuring stone end stacks. The right stack is positioned on the ridge, and there is a service range of the same construction to the east. The south front of the farmhouse is two stories high and has a three-window arrangement that is offset to the right. It features six-pane sash windows, with the upper ones being square and located under the eaves, while the lower ones are larger and have slab lintels. There is an added stone gabled porch in the center, which has a ledged door and a fanlight.
The service range to the right is of similar height and includes 20th-century 12-pane glazing in the first-floor window, which is positioned right of center. There is a small square light on the ground floor to the left and a door to the right, which is also a 20th-century door with a concrete lintel. A lean-to structure is attached to the right end wall, featuring two windows facing east. The left end wall of the house has small windows on each floor to the left.
At the rear, the first floor is almost windowless, with one 16-pane sash window on the left side of the house and one 9-pane window on the left side of the service wing. The ground floor has a door on the right side of the house, along with small-paned casement pairs to the left of the house and the left of the service wing, with a small square window situated between them. Additionally, there is a small single-storey outbuilding at right angles to the left end of the farmhouse, which continues the line of the east end lean-to. This outbuilding has a roof with two pitches on the west side, first raised over a casement window and then steeper over an 8-pane window. The east side of the outbuilding features one 4-pane window.
