Description
Gatws is a double-fronted lodge built in coursed stone, featuring a 1½-storey design with a roof made of fishscale slates that includes bands of octagonal-pattern slates, projecting eaves, and stone end stacks. The central entrance consists of a boarded door with an overlight, flanked by 2-light casement windows in their original openings. On the left gable end, there is a 2-light casement window under a hood mould, along with a bullseye window in the gable; both are replacements but in original openings. Set back on the right side is a projection with a single-pitch roof, which is concealed from the front by a coped ridge and has a 2-light window. At the rear, there is a doorway to the left, followed by a 2-light window in an original opening, an inserted window, and another replacement window to the right. The rear roof slope features two added skylights. The property has not been inspected.
