Description
The former domestic/stable block at Hendre Coed Isaf is a 2-storey building constructed from rubble, dating from the mid-18th century. It features a medium-pitched slate roof with kneelered rubble gable parapets. The northwest entrance front is symmetrical with three windows. There is a central recessed entrance that includes a 19th-century boarded stable door and a wooden doorcase. To the right of the entrance, there are two small boarded window openings, one of which has a wooden mullion. The upper floor has three small, slightly recessed 4-pane 19th-century sash windows. To the left, there is a raised rubble terrace.
Access to the first floor is provided by external steps on the northeast gable, which are made of concrete and slate towards the top, leading to a deeply-recessed 4-panel Victorian door, with the upper panels glazed. Above this door is a small 4-pane casement window, and there is a similar plain-glazed light at the apex of the southwest gable. At the rear, there is a plain chimney that has been heightened with modern brick. Attached to the right side of the building is a single-storey rubble lean-to, from which the slates have been removed.
