Description
The barn at Garth-goch is a rectangular structure built from local stone, featuring a whitened bay on the left and a slate roof. The side facing the yard includes, starting from the left, a 4-pane 19th-century window, a nearly central doorway with stone steps and a wooden frame, and a square loading bay located under the eaves, along with a vent slit below. At the rear, the southern end has an outshut, and there are additional vent slits on the right gable end.
Inside, the barn has a three-bay layout, with an open two-bay section on the right and a byre bay on the left that includes a loft above. The interior features pegged oak kingpost trusses, and access to the loft is provided by a re-used domestic 19th-century stair.
