Description
The barn and carthouse range at Dol-y-Gadfa is a stone agricultural building that features a primary barn section with a continuously-roofed cart-house addition on the left. It is constructed from local rubble and has a corrugated asbestos roof. The eastern side of the building has an off-centre barn entrance, which includes a modern stable door and 20th-century brick infilling above, accessed by two slate steps. On either side of the entrance are square boarded loading bays situated under the eaves, with ventilators positioned below. The cart-house section has two large entrances, separated by a central dividing pier, and features expressed timber lintels above. There are also two 2-light windows with mesh located above these entrances, and an upper entrance on the southern gable. The interior was not inspected during the survey.
