Description
The schoolroom, along with the master's house known as Tan Capel, is built from local rubble and features a continuous slate roof with eaves. The schoolroom is a single-storey structure, which has a boarded door with an overlight at one end and three 12-pane horned sash windows, all with slate sills. There is a brick stack at the gable end. At the opposite end, a wall with a wide arch connects the schoolroom to the chapel house, with the arch leading to a service yard. Tan Capel, which has been converted into two cottages, is attached to the north gable end and is part of the same construction. Cottage No. 1 features 19th-century plate glass sash windows and a modern door, while Cottage No. 2 has a modern panelled hardwood door and its original 4-pane sash windows. Above the doors, there is a large recessed panel inscribed with "TAN CAPEL M C 1888." There is also a stack at the gable end.
