Description

Crugan is a farmhouse, likely dating to the 18th century, constructed of squared rubble with galletted joints and covered by slate roofs with imposed coped gables. The asymmetrical front elevation features three bays, a central gabled porch with a glazed door, and uPVC windows set beneath heavy stone lintels. The building has gable stacks with weather courses. A two-storey, two-bay rear wing on the left is pebbledashed and includes a large external stone stack, now integrated into a later extension, which also has a gable stack. A lean-to addition provides access to the rear entrance.

According to reports from the Royal Commission on Ancient and Historical Monuments, the ground floor contains chamfered beams and joists, and a post-and-panel partition. The first floor has plank doors, one of which is dated 1799.
