Description

A rectangular enclosure formed by cast iron railings, the base set in concrete, with an opening on the longer W side, leading to four steps down, turning N to a further flight of 4 steps to the square lower area. At this point the upwelling of the water is contained in a low arched recess in the W wall. On the outer side, a plaque reads C DAN....GYNLLUN CREU GWAI.... Y CYNGON YN YSTOD 1877.
