Description
This is a barn located to the east of Castellmarch, constructed from rubble stone and featuring a slate close-eaved roof with boulder foundations. The barn has a large, long range design with a central door on the west front, which is topped with a timber lintel. There are four short loops on each side at the ground floor level, and the first floor has a large loft opening on each side, each flanked by a single loop. The south end of the barn includes three loops at the lower level and a drip course beneath the gable.
The east side is partially obscured by 20th-century additions but features a central doorway with a cambered head and stone voussoirs forming an arch. There are four loops on each side, divided into two pairs by a blocked window, along with three blocked loops on each side at a higher level. The barn has an earlier 20th-century seven-bay pine roof, which was replaced after a fire. The loops have splayed reveals.
